How to Rip Audio from a DVD with Mac the Ripper?

Postby schwine » Thu Dec 17, 2009 11:32 am

I am trying to rip 22 songs from a dvd+r disk and place them on my Mac OS X desktop folder in mp3 format, using Mac the Ripper version 3.0. To do this, I have selected: Title - Chapter Extraction and Demux. However, I don't see where in the Mac the Ripper software to select the output format, such as mp3.

After selecting "Go," the process of individual track extraction looks like it's taking place, one by one, into the selected output folder. But when the process is complete, here are the contents inside the output folder, which it titles My DVD Title 1 (Ch1 - Ch22):

My DVD Title 1 (Ch1 - Ch22)-?? 2Ch -1.AC3
My DVD Title 1 (Ch1 - Ch22).m2v
The VIDEO_TS folder is empty since there is no video on this dvd+r disk, just the audio tracks.

For some reason the audio ripping process doesn't work with this Verbatim dvd+r disk.
I notice that there are two question marks in the title results from the output folder.
Maybe this suggests that something isn't working correctly with the audio ripping process.

Thanks for any tips.

VLC can rip audio tracks from VOB files, too. More freeware!
