This thread will serve as an update for all release notes for version 4.1. New updates will be appended.

NOTICE
As Per The Forum Notice, The Build Signifies The End Of The Lifetime Of Free Updates.
From Now On, There Will Be A Fee For Every Major Release Of The Application.
If You Have Made Enough Gifts To Cover For A Multiple Seat License, This Does Not Apply, And You Will Receive Free Updates As Before.
If You Have Gifted Within The Last 365 Days , This Updates Is Also Free.
If You Are Outside The 365 Days, And You Already Have MTR 4.0, Then The update Fee is $10.
If You Are Outside the 365 Days, And You have A version Prior To 4.0, Then For The First 2 Weeks Of Release, The Fee Is $10 , After That It Will Be $20.
This Payment Entitles You To A Full Year, Or One Major Revision In The Software.

Further Cleaned Up Code Base.

Added A New Rip Engine. Title BatchRip. This Mode Is Good For Episode Disks As It Enables You To Select All The Title You Want And Have Them Ripped In One Shot. Each Title Gets Its Own Folder For Further Conversion If Necessary. You Can Select And Deselect Cells From The Titles Enabling Editing Of The Final Output.
NOTE: Because It Is Automated In Its Process , Any Files That Are Duplicated Will Be OverWritten Without Warning.

Cleaned Up UI to Remover Some Confusion Over Version Numbers Based On User Requests.
Updated Certain UI Graphical Parts With Cleaner Code.

Added Code To Reveal The License Folders When The License Is Installed To Enable Users To Check That The License Name Has Not Been Corrupted. This Means You No longer Have To Navigate The Operating System To Find The License Folders.
Also Added Menu Item In Help Menu To Allow You To Reveal The License Folders At Any Time.

Changed Certain UI Functions To Make The UI More Clear To End User.

Core Code
Updated File Size Calculations For Menus, To Display Size Of OverSized Menus Correctly.

New
Due To User Reports Of Certain Titles Missing In Output, Added A Preference Button To Disable The Title/Title Set Strip During Prescan. This Will Leave ** ALL ** Titles And TitleSets Available To The User. This Can Cause An Oversized Rip If Not Used Correctly! Once Activated Via Preferences, The Function Will Only Be Available To The Next Scanned Disk. So To Use On Current Disk, Eject And Reload For Function To Be Active. This Function, Due To Its Nature, Is Not Available On Auto Full Disk Mode.

This Build Will Require A New License ( Please see below for explanation of why... ).

Fixes
Updated code to deal with new protection found in "Mighty Morphing Robots 3"
Corrected a bug in the Muxing code selector that would cause a crash when Mux engines were changed between rips.
Several small fixes in core ripping code to improve decryption on disks that report sectors still encrypted.

New Features
Added an auto rip selector in Preferences that works with Full Disk Mode and ISO Mode.
To use this mode, It is suggested that you start the app with your media reading device(s) empty. As soon as a disk is inserted and your are in a compatible mode ( Full Disk, or ISO ) extraction will begin. If you Insert a disk during extraction to a different drive, that new disk will begin as soon as the current one completes. If there is already an extracted file on the system path that has the same name, you will be prompted to cancel, or change the extracted files name. At the end of the extraction, the disk will eject, and If another is present, that will commence its extraction. This function can be disabled in the preferences panel.

License Code Update
As we will be changing over to a serial based license in the very near future, there have been changes in the core code to start to reflect this, and to check the validity of the new code. Although this is a pain to the end user, it is required to develop rock solid code in the future. All requests for a new license will be met on a daily basis if you meet the required criterior for the update. If you do not need the new functions or bug fixes, please do NOT install this update.

Unified IFO sanity code.
Updated License control to assure license has correct name when installed, and corrected a bug where the license would get installed correctly, but the app on relaunch would report that it is not a valid license (the dreaded validation loop...)

No license changes are implemented on this release , so your current 4.1.5.3 license will still be valid.

This Will Update MTR To The Latest Version 4.2

This Is A Major Release And Will Require A New License..

Fixes
Updated the autorip feature to hopefully fix an issue of it permanently being on!
Although I could never replicate the behaviour! So fingers crossed.

Updated the compiler used to be more strict in code generation. Required a lot of "short cuts " in being re-written
but will lead to more stable and standardised code.

FFMpeg plug pack has been depreciated , but may come back in the future for other uses. ( MKV comes in mind…. )

New Features
Main-feature has gained a new mode.
The FFMpeg engine was removed , and replaced with a DVD-5 mode.
DVD-5 mode will shrink your main-feature output for you to fit on a single sided DVD Recordable disk.
All size calculations are done for you , so no user input is required apart from title selection and to make sure you disable any Cells in the table that are marked as 00:00:00 time. If the movie is below 4.5 Gb the code will not shrink it for you, as it will not be required for such sizes.

There is a buffer button added to the main-feature window that allows you to monitor the internal buffer in MTR to make sure you are running and the buffers are being populated with data , and not overflowing. The window can only be called form the main feature panel.

License Code Update
As This is a major version release , the serial system has been updated to reflect this.
You will need a new license code for this release , and before requesting a new license , to make sure your level of support is up to date.

All requests for a new license will be met on a daily basis if you meet the required criterion for the update.
If you do not need the new functions or bug fixes , please do NOT install this update.

If you do install the new app, and new license ,Please note that the new license will be saved in a new folder called "MTR4_2" This will allow you to back up you 4.1 release , Install the 4.2 , and keep both versions running without invalidating your old license.

Fixed auto mount issue when multiple disks were mounted ( dreaded no disk error )
Fixed syncro error in batch rip, where multiple segments would loose sync on output.

New Features.
Update to BatchRip to handle VobSub format subtitles.
Update to BatchRip to output MKV format container.
Update to BatchRip to enable full demux of streams.
Update to BatchRip to enable editing of streams ( cell removal ) without loosing sync on audio or subtitles.
Update on BatchRip to make sure bitstream audio ( AC3 ) has a valid frame when cell jumping or editing.
Update to BatchRip filename rename code to be far more flexible.

Added Quantiser to BatchRip to allow video to be shrunk before demux or MKV phase.

Completely threaded Quantizer code for multiple instance when ripping multiple disks.
Completely threaded Decryption code to enable multiple instances.

Added new menu item that links to user guides.
Currently only BatchRip is completed, other will follow.

Issues.
Handle ejecting from multiple disks with care in batch mode. Allow disks to be fully ejected and UI to update correctly before ejecting next disk.

Due to limitations in OS 10.4 - 10.5, the new batch code can only run in 10.6 and up.
This may change in the future.

Updated RnR mode to use new plugIn "DVDProbe"
To Download "DVDProbe" Install 4.2.8, then access the "Help" Menu item, and choose "Download DVDProbe"
You may Install The probe anywhere on your system.

The probe only runs alongside MTR, and is not a stand alone application.

The RNR selection sets, and Probe output are encrypted to prevent mismatch of data ( i.e loading wrong probe scan to wrong disk )
The probe replaces DVDPlayer in RnR mode, and provides a far better way to map the used sectors of the disk, thus preventing
the output from being oversized.

All Navigation is taken care of inside MTR, thus creating a stripped disk that behaves as per the original.
There is a new user guide, that can be accessed from the "user guide" menu item.
