ATTENTION New v6 Users (whether New or Old to the Forums)

Welcome to v6.

There's an entire Forum area for v6 ready for you. But for the time being, it's not open. Here is how that door gets unlocked

As of 1/19/2015, the Proof of Support for a v6 user is the email in which the Developer sent you the License (.lic). (This is regardless of whether or not you already have an active Forum account.) Admin is reliably notified of this, and if you are already a v5 Forum member, Admin will activate you for the v6 Area. (BTW, there is no welcoming PM or email for v6 Area activation.)

If this does not happen within a day or so, there is the chance that the Admin's notification of .lic did not arrive. In that case, you should forward the Developer's .lic email (in its entirety, with the license <mtr.zip> still attached) to mtr4support <mtr4support@gmail.com>. Be sure to use the same email address as the one your .lic was sent to (unless you want to insure that we can't make a match). If you've already tossed that email, then Admin will have to contact the Developer for confirmation, a burden on both.

You may also be opening a membership account in the Forums, at the same time as starting in with MTR 5. Even though you have an initial status as Inactive Member, Admin will not be able to find you without your username. Send your username to Admin (see above address), using the same address as the License email.

Finally, after activation for the v6 Area (with the v6 Area now visible), your username may not have changed color to the v6 User. This happens because the Forum considers your primary status not v6 User but Newly Activate Member, for one of two reasons:

• As a recently Activated Forum member, your first two posts are visible only to the Mods while we get to know you. Both posts need approval by us, before you can graduate. But neither will be, without the required Hardware/Software Profile in your Signature.
• Even though you may be an experienced, longtime Forum member, you have yet to post AND (more importantly), your Signature still lacks the required Profile.

The door to the v5 Area will still be open until 3/16/25. However, without the Profile, you're unlikely to get any help.

The ways to a successful match when you want Forum Admin to approve you for the v6 Area:

1. send him your Forum username, using the email address at which you received the .lic (100% reliable),
2. use the email address your Forum account is registered under but without your username (20% reliable),
3. use some other email address for the request (0% reliable).
